As a retired Veterinary Technician who attended Murray State University & Oklahoma State University for her expertise in animal husbandry, Ms. Newlun has seen first hand how important dog training is to the public and to each individual dog's personal health, happiness, and safety
Ms. Newlun's former therapy dog Jake was certified with Human Animal Link of Oklahoma where she served on the Board of Directors and was responsible for the mentoring and evaluating of new therapy teams. Currently Ms. Newlun is the mentor/evaluator for prospective therapy dog teams for the Alliance of Therapy Dogs in the Metro Oklahoma City area. She also is the handler of "Tripod Petey", the only working 3 legged pitbull therapy dog in the USA.
CGC EVALUATOR-OKLAHOMA
Since opening in 2013 Dena has offered an affordable option for those who have already had their dogs receive formal training or for those who choose to do their own training and now need a certified evaluator to administer one or all of the CGC test options.
AKC S T.A.R. Puppy Test $40.00
Any puppy who has completed the basic course elsewhere can come to me to be tested.
AKC CGC ( Canine Good Citizen ) test $50.00
This is the basic CGC exam that must be passed before you can take the Urban or Community exams.
AKC Canine Urban Test $55.00
This AKC test utilized real life skills like going up stairs, loading in and of a vehicle, walking on busy sidewalks, and crossing busy intersections.
AKC Community Canine Test $55.00
This is the highest level CGC test offered. Any dog who can pass this test will automatically be recognized as being a very well behaved and trained dog.
